Katy Kinsolving is an energetic force in the non-profit arena. She has worked for a range of non-profits, government agencies, and for-profit companies, including Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, Brooklyn Museum, New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, Big Apple Circus, Hunter PR, Acoustiguide (UK), The Watershed Institute, and C-Change Conversations, a climate change engagement group with national reach, which Katy co-founded.
Katy has served in most every capacity at non-profits, including board member, founder, advisor to executive directors, program developer, fundraiser, communications specialist, and line operations manager. Katy’s success as a consultant stems from her experience viewing organizations from all these different vantage points.
She has a BA from Vassar College, and is a blue ribbon cooking school graduate. Katy is co-author of Essential Flavors, a cookbook published by Viking, and has taught cooking on both sides of the Atlantic. She gives public lectures on food systems and climate change and also speaks on finding common ground in controversial topics. Katy is a gifted public speaker and listener.
Katy’s breadth of experience has given her an exceptional ability to understand an organization from top to bottom, diagnose its strengths and weaknesses, and help steer it toward a more dynamic, productive, and better-funded future.
